RTA 2010 Budget Hearings Schedule

The Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) will host its December public hearings to discuss the 2010 budget and provide an update on the RTA Strategic Plan. RTA Board members will offer opening remarks followed by RTA senior staff , who will conduct presentations. Attendees will have the opportunity to make public comments. Meetings are open to the general public and are ADA Accessible. If you require reasonable accomodation in order to attend a meeting a meeting or have questions, please call 312-913-3153 (TTY - 312-913-3111) at least two business days before the
meeting.

Update on Federal Economic Stimulus Funds

The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA), Metra and Pace have moved forward to get projects going with the $414 million committed through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, also known as the economic stimulus program. These funds will help reduce a significant backlog of maintenance projects while creating jobs, reducing our dependence on foreign oil and helping to improve air quality.

Performance Measures “2007 Report Card”

The RTA has developed its first-time Performance Measures “2007 Report Card” that was produced with input from the CTA, Metra and Pace. The Report Card is part of our performance management system as a tool to manage performance and progress of the transit system. The Report aggregates data from each transit agency to assess how they are collectively meeting their missions and thus the transit needs in our region.
